Shore has developed a very comprehensive recycling program for all the waste generated from office furniture.We recycle all the cardboard, metal, and plastic components from obsolete furniture. This saves the need to go to the landfill and provides hundreds of tons of good recycled product for secondary markets.

Packaging

Packaging is a critical element of deliveries and shipments. Blanket wrapping is an effective way of protecting fine furniture during transportation and reusing the blankets for years to come. This limits the amount of waste generated from corrugated board, plastic, and other materials used by shipping companies and our installation team.

Transportation

With our 40,000 sq. ft. warehouse, we have the capacity to consolidate shipments from various manufacturers to one load. This limits the amount of greenhouse gases generated from transportation through various trucks and trips. It also saves energy thorough less fuel consumption. Our methods of shipping also allow us to check and verify loads prior to arrival on site, decreasing the time and energy to process large installations through consolidated delivery processes.

Energy

Shore recently replaced all the old magnetic ballast lighting for highly efficient T8 bulbs, saving over $5400 a year in lighting costs alone. Paired with motion sensor rooms, and efficient zero emissions swamp coolers, our warehouse is efficient and light on the energy bill. Greening the showroom is the first place to start!
